Yet another victim in my social circle has fallen to the Aspen Dental scam this week (they push for unnecessary procedures which are at best a huge waste of money, at worst actively bad for you). He was new to Ithaca, and like many he had to get burned first before he learned.

I think this is the exciting part/overlap for me: “make better predictions about where we’ll get better results if we funnel money/talent/resources”. This is what I do “manually” acting as a scout
